ABOUT FARMFRESH
Farmfresh Industries is a food security development company with operations and strategic investments across Southeast Asia, with a particular focus on the Brunei Darussalam–Indonesia–Malaysia–Philippines East ASEAN Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA). The company is dedicated to strengthening regional food systems through integrated production, infrastructure development, and cross-border collaboration.
Farmfresh specialises in integrated food production, Halal development, and food-hub establishment, supporting resilient, sustainable, and efficient food supply chains throughout the region. Its activities encompass a wide range of essential agricultural and food commodities, including rice, cassava, dairy (milk), beef, poultry, and fisheries, enabling comprehensive value-chain integration from upstream production to downstream distribution.
In the area of Halal development, Farmfresh has made significant investments to address the increasing demand arising from the growth of the Muslim population in Southeast Asia, particularly in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Brunei Darussalam. These initiatives are designed to strengthen Halal-compliant food ecosystems, enhance value-chain efficiency, and expand access to both regional and international markets, while upholding recognised Halal standards and best practices.
Farmfresh is committed to contributing meaningfully to the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with primary emphasis on advancing food security, sustainable agriculture, rural development, and inclusive economic growth across Southeast Asia. The company’s projects are aligned with long-term development objectives, promoting environmental sustainability, economic resilience, and social inclusion.
At present, Farmfresh is actively involved in Indonesia’s national Free Nutritious Meal (Makan Bergizi Gratis – MBG) Program, an ambitious initiative launched by President Prabowo Subianto to provide free nutritious meals to 83 million schoolchildren, pregnant women, and mothers nationwide. The program aims to address malnutrition and reduce stunting across the country. Farmfresh supports the implementation of the MBG Program through its extensive operational network, which includes over 5,000 kitchens distributed across Indonesia, contributing to large-scale meal preparation and delivery capabilities.
Through close collaboration with regional and national governments, Farmfresh plays an active role in developing comprehensive food security ecosystems, with a strong emphasis on the ASEAN region. The company’s efforts support regional integration, strengthen rural economies, and enhance long-term food resilience, contributing to sustainable development outcomes at both national and regional levels.
