Roberto Guiati is Senior Vice President and Chief Executive of PETRA Cucina, the Food and Beverage division of the PETRA Group. He leads different teams of professionals, managing the premium F&B outlets within the group, including the management of franchise programs and the Food delivery business.

Over 14 years of experience in the Oil & Gas Industry has given Roberto a strong corporate management background. In his capacity as Sales Director for the Asia Pacific region, he led multinational Sales and Marketing Departments, including new enterprise start-ups with proven track records of driving multimillion-dollar growth and global expansion, in international sales and business development.

Roberto’s commitment to the expansion of the PETRA Group’s F&B division is driven by his passion for the F&B business that he cultivated over the past 15 years. He founded and successfully helmed some of the most acclaimed Italian restaurants in Kuala Lumpur, namely Zenzero Restaurant, Cicchetti Wine Bar and Luce Osteria. Best known for reinvigorating the business and building restaurant brands, he played instrumental roles in ensuring quality-driven product design and service, whilst maintaining aggressive financial returns.

Roberto believes that the company’s passion for customer experience and collective focus on their needs and desires are key elements that differentiate PETRA Cucina from its competitors. Hiring ‘good people that want to do good’ and inculcating in them the culture of the company is always the goal, rather than hiring people with ‘great experience’.

Roberto earned a Master degree in Geological Sciences - Environmental Geology and Economical Aspects of Oil Research from the University of Ferrara, Italy.
